From initial formation in 1979 to one of the most

influential Metal bands the world has ever known.

 

No one could have anticipated the impact that this band was to have on the unsuspecting music scene as we knew it, however, everything was about to change with the release of an album called 'WELCOME TO HELL', a perfect title when you consider what was to follow.

 

The release of the second album 'BLACK METAL' placed the band firmly on the world stage and ignited a movement which still exists to this day.
